Matching for people development

When thinking of matching, most social (employment) services focus on matching (unemployed) jobseekers to available jobs. However, if an organisation invests in the collection and maintenance of good quality data, which most organisations nowadays do, advanced matching technologies can also be applied to other services. Examples are services for advanced skills gap analysis on city or regional level, transparent profiling tools, and referral to instruments for people development, including training.

In this talk, WCC Group, the provider of advanced matching solutions to the world’s largest and most advanced public employment services, presents an innovative project together with the Municipality of Rotterdam, whose recent investments in high-quality repositories of instruments for people development created possibilities for new and advanced services, specifically for clients with a somewhat larger distance to the labour market.
