Peter Sels is strategy coordinator with the Social Services Department of the City of Antwerp. He leads a team of project leaders who are active in, among other things, the digitalisation of social services.
He obtained a master’s degree in social and cultural studies at the Free University of Brussels and a degree in political science. In 2013 he followed a master class in Business Process Management at the Antwerp Management School.
From 2004 to 2012, working at the Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities, he supported cities and municipalities through training, publications and consultancy in social policy planning and co-creation of integrated social services.
From 2012, he was responsible for training in process optimisation and also led several digitisation projects and digital inclusion initiatives in public childcare.
