Consuelo Alfaro is an Employment Technician. She has been a public administration official since 1988. She has held various positions in the field of employment, including Deputy Director General, as well as in the field of citizen participation. She has carried out initiatives such as participatory budgets, where citizens proposed projects that were financed by the Madrid City Council. Since 2023, she has held the position of General Director of Social Services and Disability Care. This is the most important position in social services, as it is responsible for ensuring that the city’s forty social services centres provide care to a population of more than 3.5 million citizens. She has been a speaker at national and international conferences in cities such as La Paz (Bolivia), Lyon, Madrid, among others.
