Gudrun Bauer is a socio-economist and head of unit of strategic services development at the Consortium of Retirement Homes in Vienna, Austria.

Previously she has worked as a researcher in the field of long-term care policy and systems and conducted research at universities and international research institutions for several years.

Furthermore, she gained experience as an advisor to the Vienna city councillor of health, social affairs and sports and was engaged as a social expert in the NGO sector.
