Dr. Hanna Kelm is a faculty member at the Department of Public Management and Social Sciences at the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. Her research interests include social policy, family and senior policy, the provision of social services, the diagnosis of social needs, effectiveness in social policy, the design of social services at national and local levels, qualitative and quantitative research, as well as the functioning of welfare states and their analysis, and the effectiveness of improving the quality of life.

Dr. Hanna Kelm conducts both national and international research projects funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW). She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Polish and English.

She is the author of numerous monographs, collective works, and articles published in leading national and international journals. She also collaborates with public and social organizations and conducts research on the evaluation of European funds expenditure.
