Biography

Helle is CEO of Askovfonden where she has led strategic initiatives that combine governance, and innovation to create measurable impact.

In her presentation at Where Care Meets Tech, Helle will cover what relational welfare means for the workforce at the frontlines of social services. She will first explain what relational welfare entails in practice for social service professionals, how it can be implemented, and the added value it brings to their work with people and families. She will also explore how it can be measured—particularly through the use of technology—drawing on her experience collaborating with Aarhus Social Services Department between 2019 and 2022. Furthermore, Helle will discuss how implementing relational welfare requires a shift in focus for decision-makers, leaders, and employees to align their strategies with this new paradigm.

With over 26 years of experience, Helle has built purpose-driven organisations and spearheaded solutions to complex social challenges. Author of Man møder et menneske (Meeting a Person), published in 2023, Helle explores the transformative power of human connections and how meaningful relationships can drive societal change. A key achievement is the development of Relationsmåling, a groundbreaking app designed to monitor and enhance the quality of interactions between professionals and citizens. By leveraging data-driven insights, the app empowers stakeholders to foster transparency, and accountability in care settings, where human connection is paramount. At the conference, Helle will share insights on the journey of creating Relationsmåling and explore how technology can be harnessed to strengthen relationships in care services while addressing the growing demand for efficiency and quality.
